Solar Oven

We are trying to use the solar oven this afternoon. I'll let you know the results of our first trail. There is some sporadic cloud cover, so we'll have to be patient. The children also helped me pump the mission balls for our visit  on Wednesday.

First Night in Cameroon

This a picture of Jena as see enjoys her first home cooked Cameroonian meal. Today we are going through the suitcases and organizing them according to the towns we'll be visiting. The solar oven arrived safely, but we have too much cloud cover to use it. We will try on Wednesday. We have already made an appointment with the director of Mbankomo and we'll be meeting with him early in the morning. Our current plan is to minister to Mbankomo Wednesday through Thursday and then travel to Bano on Friday. I'll let everyone know more information later in the day.

Speaking of updates, the sun just came out and I'll put out the oven in the sun and see what kind of temperatures I can get. We divided the fabric bags in half. Half will go to Mbankomo and half will go to Bano. That's all for now. Please keep praying for us.

First Night in Cameroon

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let all of you know that we arrived safely in Cameroon. We will give you some more information on Tuesday, but I can tell you today that the trip went very well. We're excited and looking forward to getting well rested for our adventures on Tuesday. Oh, one more thing we ran into a family who are moving to Cameroon for two years as missionaries in charge of an Orphanage here in Cameroon (in a different region). We had a wonderful conversation with the couple and their six children. It is wonderful how God works to get his people together in different situations. What are the odds that such a meeting would happen by chance?

Hello everyone,

We are one step away from Cameroon. We're in the terminal waiting for our connecting flight. All of the bags made it on to the flight now we are praying that they will all make it to our destination so we can perform our mission work. As we get closer all of us are getting more and more excited. I can't wait till we have our first report. God Bless all of you.

Kids Church 2

All of the children at the Wednesday night service came forward to lay hands on Elisha, John, and the bags that we are taking with us. We are blessed by all of the prayer and support we have received leading up to the trip and we are grateful for the prayers and support we'll receive while we are in Cameroon.

Kids Church

What a blessing. Our youth pastor decided to incorporate our mission trip into tonight's service. The children used fabric markers to decorate 50 canvas draw string backpacks that we will take with us to Cameroon. The children here colored only one side of the bags, so that the children in Cameroon can color the other side. Part of the design for the bags is a map of the world. He had the children here print their names on the section of the map representing the United States. When we get to Cameroon we will have the children print their names on the section representing Africa.

Mission Trips

Only six more days till we leave for Cameroon. Now is the time we get the bags packed and make sure that we don't forget anything. Please keep us in your prayers and we count down the days.
